The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested six suspects in connection with two separate robberies involving stolen fertilizers and food products from warehouses in Kpone and Tema Community One during May and June 2026.
Investigations revealed that on May 25, 2026, armed men attacked a security guard at a fertilizer warehouse in Kpone and stole 751 bags of 50kg organic fertilizers valued at GHC431,825. In another incident on June 14, 2026, a group of robbers overpowered a guard at Mummy’s Recipe warehouse in Community One and made away with about 2,000 bags of Aaba Rice and other food products.
Through intelligence-led operations, police traced the stolen items to a warehouse within the Tema enclave. On June 16, 2026, coordinated operations led to the arrest of Akala Kudus, Shaibu Dauda, Abdul Rahman, Moro Giya Hudu, Razak Seidu, and Francis Ayinsabga. During the raid, police recovered 717 bags of Aaba Rice and 600 bags of fertilizers, which have been secured as exhibits.
The suspects are currently in custody assisting investigations. Efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest other accomplices, recover the remaining stolen items, and bring all involved to justice.
