Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem says Damascus will cooperate with the West and the international community to combat terrorism.
“Whoever wants to coordinate and cooperate with us should be taking the matter seriously, and not with double standards,” al-Moallem told reporters in Damascus.
Attacking the Islamic State or al-Nusra positions in Syria without coordinating with the Syrian government would be seen as aggression, he added.
“We welcome the UN Security Council’s decision regarding the combat of terrorism, even if it was late,” he said.
