The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo has said that the suspensions of the party’s national chairman and general secretary Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong respectively are regretted but were done to bring harmony and purity to the work of the party.

According to Akufo-Addo, the decision to suspend the the two party executives have been taken by national executives the party and were unanimous.
The NPP has suspended some of its national executives including its second vice chairman Sammy Crabbe, Chairman Paul Afoko and General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong over separate acts of misconducts.
Speaking on Metro Television, Nana Akufo-Addo, said that he has “no difficulties at all” with Kwabena Agyepong.
Nana Addo also indicated that he has to abide by the decision of NEC.
“I don’t have any problem with any of the suspended national officers,” Nana Addo said.
