Mercy Johnson Ozioma (which means a girl with good luck in her dialect) comes from Okene (known as Igbiras) in Kogi State. She is the fourth child in a family of seven. At the age of two, she left her mum and lived with her father (an ex-military officer) who was constantly being transferred from one station to another as a military man. After her secondary school education, mercy, also known as MJ came back to Lagos to get a degree. She watched Genevieve Nnaji in the movie titled ‘ Sharon Stone ‘ and was connected. She was later a friend in 2001 on assistance to function in a movie. She was, however, not a role until after a year of constant frequenting the National Theatre. Her first film was in 2002 was entitled ‘ The Maid ‘ by Kenneth Nnebue in which she played the lead role while her most challenging was in the movie ‘ Kill The Bride ‘. Since then, mercy whose role model is Genevieve Nnaji remained halted as she has featured in over 90 movies. Mercy got married the 27th of August, 2011 for Prince Odianosen Okojie.
