In years gone by, the elderly were considered to be repositories of knowledge and wisdom. This fact was much?pronounced during the 8-year successful reign of President John Agyekum Kufuor when he selected elders of great repute to be his advisors. Inasmuch as I may be sounding harsher than I am usually known to be, honesty compels me to state that what we are witnessing today is a far cry from what used to pertain during the era of JAK.

The Council of State members around John Mahama have exhibited traits which go against the grain as far as their duties of proferring sane counsels to the presidency is concerned. Instead of keeping Mahama on his toes, members of the council of state have arrogated NDC footsoldiering positions to themselves, as they have become appendages to the ruling government.
Let me zero in on what these hords of government apparatchikts have accomplished; They opine that Mahama’s fight against corruption is extraordinarily commendable, and have urged Ghanaians to hail President Mahama for this rare feat! In my honest view, one wouldn’t be far from the truth to label these council of state members as being socially naive and economically blind! Only the inexpert eye sees Mahama’s effortless efforts at eliminating?corruption as worthy of commendation.
Has Mahama retrieved monies fraudulently paid to Woyome, Waterville, Isofoton and Rowland Agambire? What has happened to NDC gurus cited in the GYEEDA and SADA debacle? Are they not walking scot free on the streets of
Accra? What did Mahama do when there were incontrovertible evidences to incriminate Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and Kojo Adu Asare for dipping their hands in funds meant for our preparations towards the 2014 World Cup staged in Brazil? Were they not, ironically, rewarded with juicy positions at the presidency?
These members of the council of state are essentially telling us it is just expedient for Mahama to dole out tax payers’ monies to party cronies, and upon exposition, Mahama asks them to repay the monies as and when they see fit? Mahama’s pot-bellied council of state members should spare us this level of sycophancy whose resultant effect is to retard the progress of Ghana as a country!
They are a bunch of bootlickers singing undeserving hymns upon Mahama just to be fed with our taxes. They should?abandon their comfort zones and step out there to feel the pains, anguishes and sufferings of the masses, and this singular action would inform them not to waste the airwaves by calling on us to give credit where it is not due!?Mahama is corrupt, and his own Lordina can attest to this sacred fact.
Mills wouldn’t have asked him to be investigated if he were the saint that these people want us to believe.
The council of state members should find something better to occupy their boring lives, and stop wasting our precious times!
