Ultimate FM relaunched over the weekend with the ultimate aspiration to deliver the best of radio experience to listeners and clients.
The launching ceremony on Friday night witnessed the unveiling of the Ultimate FM logo and the official opening of the new face of the radio station as well as performances from artistes such as Dasebere, shattawale, Okomfo Kwaadae, Kofi B and renowned comedian, Kalybos.
Several dignitaries, including managers of the Excellence In Broadcasting Group, the Asantehene?s Akyempimhene,Oheneba Aduse Poku, the entire Ultimate FM crew, friends from the media, existing and prospective clients as well as some celebrity friends graced the epic occasion.
Ultimate 106.9 FM, previously Ultimate Radio, since its establishment in 2011, has had massive audience in the Garden City.
As part of the rebranding effort, Ultimate 106.9 FM would offer a mix of compelling programmes, good music, live events and entertainment.
In the same drive to continue satisfying the station?s audience in both Kumasi and beyond, the station?s concepts and direction have been refreshed with a new and carefully crafted market-driven approach to conform to the ever-changing radio industry.
Ultimate 106.9 FM is being repositioned to holistically serve the people of the Ashanti Region with contents that strike a chord with listeners? emotional, spiritual and psychological needs.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the General Manager of the Northern Sector of the EIB Group, and General Manger of Ultimate FM, Klaus Von Backustein, outlined that stationed is poised to deliver the best to the people of the Ashanti Region.
He emphasized that ?Ultimate FM will strive to engineer a positive transformation of the society, to inspire leadership and to be of good service to the community by giving back to community from time to time.??
He expressed the station?s resolve to ??ensure best practices in the industry and deliver optimum value to both internal and external customers.??
Oheneba Aduse Poku, who was elated to be chairman for the occasion, indicated that Ultimate 106.9 FM ?is my favourite station not just because of the music and the jazz that they play after midnight, but the incisive and precise news cast that you have at certain intervals of the day.??
Giving his blessings and best wishes of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, he charged the station to fashion itself in a light that resonates the name of the station.
