President John Dramani Mahama has appointed the Coordinator of the National Youth Authority, Mrs. SedinaTamakloe Attionu as Acting Chief Executive Officer for the Micro and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC).
Mr. Kwabena Akyeampong, a Marketing Communications Professional and former Deputy Minister for the Interior, has also been appointed to be in charge of the restructuring and reorganization of the operations of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA).
A pharmacist by profession and National Democratic Congress? 2012 parliamentary candidate for the Anyaa-Sowutuom constituency, Mrs. Attionu holds a post graduate certificate in Project Management from GIMPA and a Masters degree in International Retail Marketing from the University of Surrey in the UK.
MASLOC, which an agency under the Office of the President is a microfinance apex body responsible for implementing the government?s microfinance programs targeted at reducing poverty, creating jobs and wealth
On the other hand, Mr. Kwabena Akyeampong, affectionately called Kobby Akyeampong will be working up to the Chief of Staff, will be responsible for the management of GYEEDA, and coordinate the President?s directive for a full restructuring and development of a bill to be presented to parliament to govern the operations of the Agency.
A former deputy minister for tourism, and later interior, Mr. Akyeampong is also a former Director of Studies at the African University College of Communications in Accra.
