Ex-Manchester United Africa chief scout Tom vernon believes striker Abdul Majeed Waris will be a major hit for Ghana at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Waris, 22, has been on cloud nine since he joined struggling French side Valenciennes where he has netted 9 times in twelve outings.
The Spartak Moscow striker has become an important piece to the Black Stars since he burst onto the scene barely two years ago.
Waris, a product of Right to Dream Academy, is expected to spearhead the country attack at the soccer mundial in Brazil.
And Tom Vernon, who owns the highly-rated football academy in the West African country, has tipped the youngster to have a big tournament in the South American country.
?If you look at Waris? strength, he is a real key player for Ghana because if you look at the pace at the top, we have a slightly older team now,? he told radio XYZ
?The (Black Stars) players have been together for almost ten years now and he is a fresh one coming in who can have that pace injection upfront so I think he is going to be key to the Stars cause in Brazil.?
The former BK Hacken attacker has scored 3 goals in 9 appearances for Ghana.
