Mrs. Ruth Quaye is a mother of two (2) children. She is a medical scientist at Berk Berk College, and currently runs her own business which employs about twelve (12) people.
She is the Progressive People?s Party (PPP) parliamentary candidate for Anyaa/Sowutuom constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
She is of the firm conviction that the Anyaa/Sowutuom constituency has not had an MP who has actually been fair to the people, especially in supporting the constituents with jobs.
According to her, one challenge that confronts the people of Anyaa/Sowutuom is the lack of jobs in the area which has created many unemployed youth.
She goes on to add that the problem of unemployment has led many of the youth in her community to sell dog chains and other petty items on the streets with its attendant risks.
It is against this backdrop that Mrs. Quaye is seeking the mandate of the people in Anyaa/Sowutuom on the ticket of the PPP to become their Member of Parliament (MP) and implement her human-centered development programmes
