Mohammed Mumuni, a Potter, was on Friday remanded by an Accra Circuit Court for conspiracy to commit crime and robbery.
Mohammed, who pleaded not guilty to both charges, was remanded into police custody by the court to reappear on July 18.
Chief Superintendent of Police Duuti Tuaruka told the court that the complainant, Ephraim Nii Ayi Otoo, is a Caterer whilst the accused person is a potter and that, they all live in the same vicinity at Russia a suburb of Dansoman.
He said on July 1, 2014, at about 0130 hours, the complainant was baking meat pie in his kitchen when the accused person and three others now at large, armed with a pistol and a cutlass forcibly entered his kitchen.
The prosecution said Mohammed pulled a pistol at the complainant compelling him to run into his bedroom, leaving behind his Techno mobile phone, a Techno Tablet phone and an amount of GHC800.00.
He told the court that Mohammed and his accomplices then took the said items and took to their heels.
Chief Superintendent of Police Tuaruka said the complainant reported the matter to the police and during investigations; the accused person was arrested at his hideout at Kokomba market.
He said when his kiosk was searched, the complainant?s Techno tablet phone was found and Mohammed admitted the offence in his investigation caution statement.
He said Mohammed mentioned his accomplices as Ali Kosei, Tanko and Nabir. GNA
