This pretty true fact in present moment. There are plenty of reasons to say but we will explore some major only. The first and foremost is the fierce competition where your chances to pan out are meager and it becomes more miserable due to Apple’s policies.
It will start when you go to iPhone Dev Center to download SDK and other learning materials here you should sign for Apple Developer Connection and then for the iPhone site by filling some legal forms. Now you will be able to write code and see the results on the simulator, not on emulator or real iPhone because you need another account and that is iPhone developer program by filling up some more forms along with $99 to get activation code and that is only for the starting the development, not actually see the results on your own iPhone because there are many others windows that you should pass through.
The first obstacle is the provision certificate because you can’t use any app without the permission of Apple despite you have build your own therefore you need to create a provisioning profile and we can do it through Xcode by getting iPhone’s unique identifier and pasting that into the web form of Apple and get back results. After that we have to create a request and that we need to manually approved for our own just before generating provisioning profile. Once you generate it download it through Xcode and you are now able to put your app on your own iPhone.
Unfortunately provisioning certificate only allows us to accept app signed by us. Now you need one more certificate and you can generate it by opening Keychain Access where you will find a little used corner where you can request the certificate and can open that in text editor.
Now again upload it in the web form of Apple and download the results and again the same process making request and approving by yourself along with an intermediate certificate given by Apple. This process will easy if you are not making any mistake in Xcode and probabilities to committing mistake are higher for the novice iPhone developers who want work in iPhone application development industry.
Now you are officially do coding and see the result on your own device, albeit if you want to test the results of your iPhone programming on your friend’s iPhone you have to pass through another cycle of provisioning certificate and so on for that iPhone. Once you sail smoothly through iPhone app programming you need to upload it on the App store, but that is not again easy and have enough artificial difficulties to get distribution certificate through same chain, Keychain Access, request, approval and install. Despite these all still you can’t upload as you need one more special distribution provisioning certificate. Once you get it you can upload your app on App store.
In app store your app will not appear until the approval from the Apple and it takes more than a week. If you are lucky and didn’t commit a single mistake during iPhone apps development process and in QA testing you will have instant approval but new developers can’t get it straightforward and they have to go through the weekly cycle of resubmitting and sometime wait for longer than they consumed time for that iPhone development.
