Quantum Terminals PLC reported a 30% year-on-year increase in half-year net profit to GH¢22.7 million for June 2025, overcoming significant foreign exchange losses and declining revenue.

The LPG storage firm’s earnings per share rose to 0.2061 GH¢, up from 0.1584 GH¢ in 2024, despite revenue dipping 6.6% to GH¢38.9 million due to reduced premium charges and throughput fees.

A GH¢13.99 million net foreign exchange loss—swinging from a GH¢12.56 million gain in 2024—drove a 188% surge in general administrative expenses to GH¢22.85 million. This offset gains from fair-value interest adjustments (GH¢11.13 million) and lower finance costs. EBITDA plummeted 66% to GH¢14.33 million, reflecting currency volatility.

The company reduced long-term debt by 44% to GH¢42.6 million, though cash reserves halved to GH¢14.43 million. Asset revaluation reserves contracted, while retained earnings rebounded to GH¢32.27 million from a negative position.
