The Ghana has taken after the Prison Service first day of biometric registration exercise for prisoners across the country.
The Electoral Commission acting on a Supreme Court ruling that all prisoners who are eligible to vote in the election of this year participate must be registered all applicable candidates.
Inmates were supposed to participate in the nationwide biometric registration that took place previously but due to problems with identification of the prisoners were unable to participate.
Speaking in an interview with happy news, the Public Relations Officer of the service, ASP courage Atsem indicated that the exercise went on smoothly without disadvantages.
He confirmed that the party agents to observe the registration exercise in prison yards.
The exercise is expected to come to an end today after which total number of registered prisoners can be known.
