According to the leadership of the People?s Democratic Party, PDP, the event billed to start by 10am is tagged ?National Summit for Goodluck Support Groups?.

Disclosing this pieace of information in Abuja on Friday, was Prof. Rufai Ahmed Alkali, Political Adviser to the President, who also revealed that the event will be attended mainly by prominent PDP chieftains.?

Among those scheduled to speak at the event are Prof. Gerry Gana, former Information Minister; Adamu Mu?azu, PDP national chairman; Godswill Akpabio, Akwa Ibom State Governor and Ahmadu Ali, former PDP chairman,.

Others include former President of the Senate, Ken Nnamani; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim; Senate Majority Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba; a former PDP acting national chairman, Bello Haliru Mohammed; and the party?s members in the two chambers of the National Assembly.

The political adviser to the President said other people expected at the occasion include members of the PDP?s National Executive Committee, Board of Trustees members, PDP Governors as well as members of the Federal Executive Council.

Prof. Alkali described the proposed event as a unique and rare opportunity to witness an outpour of love, camaraderie and friendship by Nigerians from all social class for President Jonathan.

?This National Summit is a celebration of the core values that bind all Nigerians as one people, united for peace, stability and progress of our dear country? he said, adding that representatives of over 8,000 pro Jonathan groups are also expected at the event.

Prof. Alkali said Ahmadu Ali would chair the ceremony, while Governor Akpabio is billed to deliver a keynote address. PDP chairman, Adamu Mu?azu would be the Special Guest of Honour.?

It would be recalled that a few days ago, some?Nigerians condemned President Goodluck Jonathan?over the #BringBackGoodluck2015?campaign ads for his 2015 re-election which flooded Abuja.
