?PPP deserves your votes?

The flag bearer of the Progressive People?s Party (PPP) Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has called on all peace-loving Ghanaians to as a matter of importance vote for the PPP since it is the party that has peace embedded in its foundation and moral fabric.

Dr. Nduom stated that ?it has become abundantly clear that we face the danger of major disturbance in this country as a result of the overly aggressive posturing of the NDC and the NPP.?

According to him, the leaders of these two parties have repeatedly refused to publicly correct the violent and insulting behavior and attitude of their leading members, supporters and spokespersons.

The PPP flag bearer who was speaking at the ?signing of the Kumasi declaration? in Kumasi noted that the founders of the party however understood the link between peace, quality of life and national stability hence their choice of ?Prosperity in Peace? as their motto.

The signing of the Kumasi declaration was a high level meeting of all the 2012 presidential candidates to pledge their commitment to peace and violent free General elections on December 7th.

It was under the theme ?Promoting peaceful elections and Justice: Taking a stand against Electoral Violence, Impunity and Injustice.?

The Asantehene who appeared delightful at the various candidates? commitment to peace and violent free elections reminded the candidates that their quest for political power should not blind them to plunge the nation and the entire citizenry to their early grave.

He urged every Ghanaian to support the security agencies to carry out a peaceful and incident free election.

The chairman of the National Peace Council, Most Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Asante, also said there can be no elections and therefore no government in the midst of violence hence the need for peace at all times.
