Personal Development: Why Change is Inevitable, But Growth is Optional!

United States, 16th April 2012 – “When it comes to personal development, you could say that personal change is inevitable, but that personal growth is regrettably optional” says Keelan Cunningham.

According to Keelan: “Change and growth are necessary bedfellows in life. However, it’s important to understand the distinction between the two. Change is typically a one-off event, reactionary and physical e.g. moving to a new city. Growth happens on the inside when you venture into some new emotional territory and leads to personal expansion and development. Change alone won’t necessarily bring about personal growth.”

Commenting further on the subject, Keelan says: “Many people end up dead at 30, washed up at 50 and buried at 70! Imagine Describing Life on Earth to an Alien…

every human being is born with unlimited potential and greatness inside. But what we humans do is ignore all that and just teach people how to get jobs that they don’t particularly enjoy so they can earn little bits of coloured paper with famous people’s faces on it. They usually do this for the rest of their lives, squeezing in real enjoyment and purpose at the weekend only to retire in their late 60s and die a few years later completely unfulfilled and  disillusioned!”.

Cunningham himself is no stranger to the topic of personal change and growth. Once a struggling professional musician in his 20s, Cunningham’s professional and personal development arc has brought him to where he is today, a successful entrepreneur, multiple-business owner and wealth coach who gets to share his experience and insights with a growing database of several thousand subscribers to his wealth creation website: www.millionairemindsetsecrets.com/

“Have you ever thought to yourself: Damn! How did I end up here!!? What happened to all the promise, the teenage dreams, the wild ambition I once had?” Keelan enquires.

“Well, when that happens, the great secret is to “reinvent yourself”. Reinvention isn’t just for rock stars and caterpillars! I’m not talking about the creation of some phony identity but re-discovering who you really are; embracing a brand-new real you by remaking yourself and living on purpose!”

“When it comes to change, people are sometimes scared of making the wrong choice. The one thing I’ve discovered is that the only thing you have to choose is change, it doesn’t really matter how the change manifests itself. The change itself isn’t the destination; its juts a starting point that allows you to forge a new growth path in your life and discover more of your true purpose. Decide to change and change you will! Decide to grow and life will too!” concludes Keelan.
