Established in 2001, Penplusbytes is a leader in driving technology applications for change by working with the media and civil society actors. We are looking for young, smart and super creative 2 social interns to join our team. With growing network of 1000 plus members, we are working in three exciting areas: new media and innovations, extractives, technology and governance sectors across 15 African Countries. As a member of our team, you will co-own Penplusbytes? social media channels and all content published. You will assist with strategy, execution and analysis of all social campaigns.
Interns will be performing the following tasks:
This exciting position requires someone able to roll up their sleeves and be into all things social, comfortable wearing many hats and taking on new roles as they emerge.
Create new ways for Penplusbytes to engage in social networks
Create and manage new marketing campaigns across social media channels
Manage, evaluate and optimize results of all social media marketing campaigns
Helping manage Penplusbytes social media assets
Assist with social media dashboards management generating data on overall footprint and reach
Promote social media campaigns through other channels
Writing social media press releases
Engaging social media audiences
Measuring and documenting the impact of social media and suggesting options for improvement
Desires Skills and Experience:
Exceptional interest in marketing and social media
Student undertaking a Bachelor?s or Master?s degree university program, or the equivalent
Deep knowledge and understanding of social media tools and regular user.
Impeccable writing, communication and spelling abilities
Skilled in online research and analytical skills
Meticulous attention to detail
A creative thinker and doer who likes to come up with new and different ideas
