The Kaduna branch boss says there is sufficient petrol in the country
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), on Thursday said the incessant fuel queues in the country were a result of panic buying due to deliberate misinformation.
This was disclosed to newsmen in Kaduna by the Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) branch Chairman of PENGASSAN, Alhaji Sanusi Abdulkarim.
In his words, Abdulkarim said, ?It is based on the penchant for raising false alarm over the production, pricing, demand and supply chains; otherwise there is no cause for these queues.?
Abdulkarim who noted that the ongoing turn around maintenance of Port Harcourt and Warri Refineries had contributed to the shortfall in supply said he was convinced there was no plan by the Federal Government to increase the price of fuel as some people were assuming.
He further admonished Nigerians to stop raising false alarm over what we have sufficiently in the country.
