Ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi

The family of the ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi has accused the army of abducting him.

His daughter Shaimaa told a news conference in Cairo the family was taking local and international legal measures against the military, reports the BBC.

Morsi has been held at an undisclosed location since being ousted from power on 3 July.

His Muslim Brotherhood movement has refused to recognise the new military-backed administration.

It continues to hold almost daily street protests in Cairo.
