Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) Ghana, a member of the Pan African ICT Computer Warehouse Group, in conjunction with its partner Oracle and Interdist Alliance, has organized a business forum in Accra, to enlighten participants on the current cutting-edge technology available from Oracle.
The forum, which was attended by delegates from all sectors of the economy, was on the theme, “Oracle Best-in-Class Solutions for Today’s IT Infrastructure”.
Oracle, Hardware Manager, Ladi Fabiyi said “we organised this workshop to appreciate our customers and partners and also to unveil the current cutting-edge technology available from Oracle for their data centres and to their business as a whole”
He further pointed out that the equipment was designed to be re-used, saying “if there is the need to totally remove the device, Oracle has a third-party company that will deal with it in the best possible way with the environment in mind.”
He added that Oracle’s devices are environment-friendly, adding that “most Oracle products are manufactured to outlast the usual time required. Some customers are still using the old Oracle database and they are very efficient.”
Mr. Fabiyi added that “I think Ghana’s Information Technology (IT) is flourishing. One can see how the telecom companies are utilising IT to their advantage. I see a very bright IT future in Ghana.”
Addressing the forum, Country Manager, CWG Ghana, Tony Dadzie said Oracle encompasses every aspect of IT – from database, middleware, servers and storage systems.
He advised businesses to use Oracle’s software and Hardware tools because they are critical to the success of business.
He further added that CWG, the pan African ICT Company has over the years successfully deployed and maintained Oracle products for several clients in different industries and was doing the same. This has earned CWG the Platinum partnership level with Oracle both in Ghana and Nigeria, hence the dependable Oracle partner to deal with.
