Markets in Onitsha?on Monday?stood still for APGA Governorship Candidate, Dr. Willie Obiano as APGA campaign train stormed the commercial city. The traders trooped out in their tens of thousands to receive the campaign team.
IMG_2676The campaign moved from Ajasa Street where Dr. Obiano was born and brought up to Ose Market, Bright Street, Main market, marine Market, Zik?s Avenue, Ochanja Market and Bridge-Head Market with traders cheering and singing songs of solidarity.
At the Ose Market, Governor Obi promised to provide the market with electric transformer before the middle of next month and??to continue the infrastructural development in the area.
Addressing traders at the main market, he said he would provide the market with another security vehicle before the tenth of next month and urged them to give APGA total support as a platform to protect the future and identity of Ndigbo.
?Governor Obi equally promised to provide traders at marine Market a brand new security vehicle to enhance operation of security agents.
Addressing jubilant traders at Ochanja Market, the Governor announced that work would commence on the reconstruction of Zik?s Avenue, Fegge Onitsha??within ten days.
He also promised to provide another security vehicle to Bridge Head Market and reconstruct the major access roads to the market.
?Governor Obi recalled that his administration from inception has sustained the upgrading of infrastructure in the commercial city and environs.
The National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh while addressing the traders at various points note that Governor Obi has fulfilled all promises made to the people and justified the mandate of the electorate.
Chief Umeh stressed the need for continuity to maintain tempo of good governance across the State, urging Ndigbo to resist any attempt to be teleguided by any external force.
Also speaking, the APGA Governorship candidate, Dr. Obiano explained that he has comprehensive programme to expand the multi-sectorial development strategy of the Governor.
The Member representing Onitsha North 1 Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Mr. Chigbo Enwezor assured that residents of Onitsha would reciprocate the Governor?s kind gesture by voting massively for APGA in the coming election.
In their separate speeches, the Chairman of Onitsha Main Market, Chief innocent Agudiegwu and Bright Street Counter-part, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwudum noted that the Governor has done so much for the traders and provided conducive environment for business to thrive.
?Also speaking, the Chairman of Ochanja Market, Chief Fred Ezeonyi said the only way to reciprocate the Governor?s selfless service and commitment to welfare of traders was by voting massively for APGA.
