The Return Of A Blessed Guest

The 16th of July, 2015 CE was the day we parted ways. It was a day so painful and sad for me. It was a day you left me in fear. You left me in fear of my own shadows of evil deeds catching up with me. It was a day I simply can’t forget.

It was on this day you promised coming back to stay with me. You promised coming back to stay with me for just 30 days. This you did after realising the sadness and pain in me. The promise made me very elated. I wiped my tears and my face shone. I recollected the good times we had. It was here that you told me not to take your promise for granted because whilst you’re assured of your return, you can’t tell whether I will also be still present. I understood you perfectly but my heart couldn’t just stop yearning for you.

I vividly remember the conversations we had when you stayed with me the previous year. In fact, it was some splendid 30 days. I remember the numerous promises I made to you. I remember the assurances I gave you. But unfortunately, as always of me, I failed the test. I couldn’t control my tongue as I promised. I lied and slandered as if I feared nothing. I also couldn’t tighten my zip as I assured you. My illicit lust took control of me. The betrayal and unfulfilled promises are so many that I’m ashamed to mention them.

I remember speaking extensively to you then about one Rabiatu Fuseini Batie. I hope you can remember that my elder sister. I remember telling you about her sickness and how I pray and hope that she’ll be well before your return. Sadly, she’s no more. She has visited a land we’re all sure to go some day. She’s now in a home with her deeds acting as her family, friends and business associates. She’s not the only one who went there after your departure. There are many people who we spoke about during your last visit who have now exited the world. Their departure tells us about the feebleness of mankind in this fleeting world. We have nothing to say than to pray that Allah bestow His Mercy on all those who died on the path of guidance and righteousness.

My dear Ramadan, you’re welcome to your home. I’m told you’ve come with 30 days of MERCY, FORGIVENESS AND ADMITTANCE TO THE LOFTY PARADISE. I’m equally told you’ve returned with that special night which is better than staying 83 years of this world. I’m told you’ve returned with your magnificent generosity and superb blessings. I can’t ask for much but to only pray that Allah make us to enjoy the benefits and blessings of you staying with us. May Allah make us love and help one another. May Allah guide us all and bless and protect our nation for us.

Finally, may the Peace and Blessings of Allah be on His Last and Final Messenger, Muhammad and all righteous souls until the day of judgment.
