Of all the Ghanaian presidents for the last three decades, former President Kufuor stands out conspicuously as the most respected. He is also the most acclaimed achiever when it comes to discussing the socio-politico-economic achievements of Ghana for the same specified period of time. During his eight years at the presidency, there was not only peace with people feeling safe and expressing their views freely without succumbing to the threats and vagaries of selective justice, but also, the economy boomed to the admiration of both Ghanaians and the international community.
Having said this, and given the devil his due even if he was one, but which fortunately he wasn?t, he has since he left power in January 2009, come under intense attacks from within the NPP, the party on whose ticket he won the two successive presidential elections in 2000 and 2004.
From personal insight knowledge gained on former President Kufuor from a very reliable source, I liked him for his achievements but not for his personality. By PERSONALITY I mean the following as defined in the dictionary, “the sum total of all the behavioural and mental characteristics by means of which an individual is recognized as being unique”.
He is perceived to be biting the very finger that fed him, quite unexpected of tradition and opposing to the adage, “One good turn deserves another”. Truly, and in conformity to conclusive empirical observations, he is though a family member of the NPP, his heart does not belong in the party. He is an enemy from within, working assiduously against the party all for undisclosed, but very myopic and selfish interests, one can decipher.
How selfishness can ruin one?s integrity is unimaginable. From the time of 2008 general elections to find a replacement for then president Kufuor who was about to come to the second term of his presidency until today, he has laid back, if not that he has been very lackadaisical, in pursuance of the interests of the party and the general public. He did not only fail to actively involve in the electioneering campaign to see Nana Akufo Addo elected, but again, was and is still very supportive of his underdog (Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng), to wedge a hammer intended to widen the fissures in NPP. By so doing, he indirectly seeks the downfall of not only the party but also, the Ghanaian general public.
He is always flirting with the NDC for all bad and suspicious reasons. When Mahama is clearly perceived to have rigged election 2012 as concluded by discerning Ghanaians and intelligent world community that watched the live telecast of the Supreme Court proceedings on Election 2012 petition, former President Kufuor saw it differently. When Mahama, his family and cronies conspire to deprive Ghana of Merchant Bank through fraudulent sale of the bank to themselves, Kufuor socializes with them at the opening ceremony of the bank transferring to these crooks. When it was time for NPP national congress to elect their national leaders, Kufuor was in far away America pursuing his private affairs.
I may not have time to enumerate all the issues that make Kufuor a suspect seeking the downfall of Ghanaians through ensuring that the corrupt NDC perpetuate office as long as it takes, at the expense of innocent Ghanaians. He knows all the instances of his unspoken ill-wish for the suffering Ghanaians.
What will it benefit you if all Ghanaians become poor but you, Mr Kufour? Many a discerning Ghanaian is reading into your mind through your actions, so beware.
Former president Kufuor is portraying that despicable Ghanaian character contrary to the expectation of the intelligent White people as read from a book entitled, “Exploiting your unlimited potentials”. In this book, it says, “If you a rich man and are operating supermarkets, pray that all your neighbours and customers become rich to a degree. For without that they may not have money to purchase your ware or goods and you will end up not becoming richer but stagnant, if not poorer”. This is the secret philosophy behind the Whiteman?s continuous success that has compelled the Blackman to flee to their land to fleece them or for our presidents to visit them all of the time with bowl in hand begging alms.
Contrarily, the black rich person always wants to see their neighbours and customers remain poor except themselves. This is why we suffer as a collective group of myopic persons who are permanently at the mercy of the Whites, kowtowing and crying to them for help every now and then.
Former President Kufour MUST reflect on why he has come under condemnation from his own NPP camp. He cannot be let loose to continue with his perceived acts of sabotage and unspoken evilness.
A WORD TO THE WISE IS SUFFICIENT.
The wise one from Kumawu/Asiampa is monitoring the situation from far away London and will descend heavily on him should he persistently get mired in his suspected evil ways that are unhelpful to the cause of NPP liberating the suffering Ghanaian masses from the shackles of NDC slavery.
