Government has acquired six Nissan Navara vehicles at the cost of $222,000 for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
The vehicles were acquired to strengthen the supervision and monitoring of nurses across regions in the country.
The vehicles would be distributed to branches of the outfit in Ashanti, Eastern, Northern, Brong-Ahafo, Western and the Volta Regions.
The Minister of Health Hon. Sherry Ayittey officially handed the vehicles to the Council in Accra last Friday.
The Minister assured the public that with the provision of the vehicles, the council would intensify its monitoring of nurses and midwives in the country to ensure that they render best services to the nation.
