Information received from the corridors of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) revealed that?a founding member of the party, Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobbey, is gradually losing his membership in the party.

This development has to do with his recent statements he made in respect to NPP?s court issue with the EC and the NDC. According to information picked from the party, Dr Brobbey seems to have bitten more than he can chew and is losing his relevance withing the party.

Dr. Charles Yves Wereko-Brobbey, in a widely publicized letter, he claimed the NPP?s decision to boycott the Buem and Akatsi by-elections is illogical and nonsensical.

THE MOMONET sources within the NPPP have said that the party?s Council of Elders has directed the National Executives of the party to expel Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobbey from the party.

This decision, THE MOMONET was reliably informed, was the outcome of a closed door meeting by the Council of Elders last week, after the General Secretary of the NPP, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie,?certainly refered Dr. Wereko-Brobbey?s conduct to the National Executive Committee of the party.

According to the source, the party secretariat has been directed to serve Dr. Wereko-Brobbey?who is the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana @50 celebration, a dismissal letter, which is expected to be given to him somewhere next week.

But, an attempt to get the Director of Communications of the NPP?Nana Akomea to comment on the issue proved futile as he did not answer several calls made to him by this reporter.

It can be recalled that the recent diatribes of Dr- Wereko-Brobbey (TARZAN) are symptomatic of a lonely outcast whose hallucinations, actions and inactions have alienated him from a group.

According to the source, the decision by the party?s NEC is also borne out on the premise that, Tarzan lost his right to call himself a founding member and even a member of the NPP when he left the party to form his United Ghana Movement (UGM) and run for election in 1998.

?The above historical records set straight, the two diatribes of Dr Brobbey are a contradiction of each other and a clear manifestation of his confused state of mind.?

Acording to the source his first statement seeks to play down the NPP court case, whilst shamelessly admitting that evidence abounds that the elections were rigged, he points to international leaders congratulating the President as an endorsement and indication the fight is over.

?In his second statement, Dr Brobbey goes on an insulting spree with all sorts of adjectives and yet concludes that the NPP?s failure to vet the President?s ministerial nominees is in direct contravention of the constitution which indicates that until the courts overturn the results, everything the President does is deemed to be right and cannot be reversed even after Nana Addo is sworn in.?
