Nigeria To Spend Over N40 billion To Accelerate MDGs

Gov. Obi today announced that the state would spend over N40 billion in the final push to accelerate the MDGs. ?He emphasized that public funds should be used for public good.?
During the event, Anambra State Education Comissioner, Dr. Uju Okeke said : “Today’s unique ceremony is one ?of 13 series of event to fully implement Anambra State’s package on accelerating progress in the attainment of education for all in the State, tagged Final Push. ?It may pertinent note that week, at two different ceremonies, His Excellency distributed ?cheques ?worth ?over 5.7 billion……. Turn-around renovation/rehabilitation of dilapidated buildings and construction of the new ones in our Primary schools and junior secondary schools. ?The climax of today’s event would be presentation of cheques to 420 secondary schools for the provision of science laboratory equipment and library development. “
SSG Oseloka H. Obaze ?who was at the event said “the final push to accelerate the MDGs in Anambra state was a product of ANSG’s systematic planning, coherence and coordination and proactive policy implementation.”
