NGO throws weight behind Jonathan

The non-governmental organization (NGO) rooting for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan, the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) has postponed the planned grand finale of its month-old nationwide zonal rallies fixed for today at Eagle Square Abuja till further notice.TAN

The group’s director of operations, Barr Benchuks Nwosu while speaking with journalists in Awka yesterday said the postponement was to allow Nigerians who are suppose to travel from far and near for the rally, enjoy their independence anniversary and the muslim brothers and sisters to also observe their Idel-Kabir celebrations.

Barr Nwosu while wishing Nigerians and the muslim community a happy celebrations said that the political advocacy group would notify the public as soon as a date is fixed for the Abuja grand rally.

He also thanked Nigerians for trooping out in their good numbers in the zonal rallies that took place in Awka, Ibadan, PortHarcourt, Minna, Gombe and Kano.

The TAN’s director of operations said that the massive support given to the group during the rallies has demonstrated that they are on the right track.

He pointed out that he is happy that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) borrowing a leaf from TAN has finally endorsed Dr Goodluck Jonathan as its sole candidate for the 2015 presidential election which according to him is a welcome development.

Barr. Nwosu assured Nigerians that his group will not rest on its oars until the Dr Jonathan’s mandate is renewed so as to continue and consolidate on his pet transformation agenda which has positively impacted on all and sundry.
