Ten examinations for Grade 10 and 12 that were supposed to have been written on Thursday and Friday were initially postponed indefinitely.
In a statement seen by Xinhua Sunday, Hanse-Himarwa said Grade 12 Mathematics Paper 1 and 2 as well as Mathematics Ordinary Level, Paper 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be written on Oct. 31 2016, while the other examination for Grade 12, Entrepreneurship, will be written on Nov. 1 2016.
Hanse-Himarwa also said Grade 10 Integrated Performing Arts Paper 1 and Needlework and Clothing will be written on Oct. 31 2016, while Life Science will be on Nov. 1 2016.
The Namibia National Teachers Union called off the nationwide strike Saturday after signing an agreement with government for a 9 percent salary increase in the 2017/18 financial year.
The union had wanted an 8 percent salary increase for the current financial year, which they could not get because the government said there is no money. Enditem
