The leadership of the Volta Caucus of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has lauded Mr. Emmanuel Bedzrah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ho West, for being elected unto the board of the African Parliamentarians’ Network against Corruption (APNAC).

A congratulatory message signed by Mr Asamoah Mensah, National President of the Caucus, and made available to the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi, said the election of Mr. Bedzrah was a confirmation of the trust the Network had in him.

APNAC is a network of African parliamentarians committed to the fight against corruption in public places.

Mr Bedzrah was elected onto the board as a representative of the West African Region at the APNAC’s biennial general meeting in Accra.
He replaces Mr. Osei-Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs.

APNAC, which was established in 1999, has the objective to build capacities of African parliaments to play a watchdog role, particularly in the matters of government spending.
The message urged Mr Bedzrah to be committed to duty to justify the confidence reposed in him.
