NBC News Digital is seeking a senior entertainment editor to lead a team of reporters and editors covering entertainment and pop culture for TODAY.com and NBCNews.com.
The successful candidate will develop and direct a clear vision and voice for entertainment coverage;recruit and manage full-time reporters and editors, as well as a roster of contributing editors and freelancers; conceive, craft and edit daily entertainment news and pop culture coverage, enterprise stories and commentary; and use video, text, photos, social media and other digital tools to deliver highly engaging storytelling.
Candidates must have demonstrated prowess as a news-hunter, spotting and conceiving of clever, differentiated and relatable story angles off the news. A strong understanding of social media and emerging digital tools for reporting and storytelling a must.
