The Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, on Sunday inaugurated a N75 million Cathedral Church of St Peter, with 3,000 seating capacity in Minna.

Inaugurating the edifice in Minna, the Primate, Most Rev Nicholas Okoh, prayed God to bless it and make the church His dwelling place for the good of man.

He urged spiritual leaders of the Church of God and the followers to live Christ-like life as it was the only way to salvation.

The Primate, however, enjoined Nigerians to unite against terror attacks in the Northern part of the country, saying that it was not the responsibility of government alone.

“Evil is being perpetuated by Boko Haram at our door, let every Nigerian rise up and say no to Boko Haram; If we don?t say no together, it will consume everybody.??

He said government had not enough police to protect the people of the country, “so if we don?t resolve together to stand against this evil it will consume everybody??.

He prayed for the release of the over 200 school girls abducted recently by Boko Haram in Chibok.

Okoh also consecrated four archbishops to serve five year tenure.

Earlier, Mr Abraham Yisa, Registrar and Chancellor, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion and Chairman Planning Committee of the inauguration, said the cost of the auditorium was N75 million.

Yisa said the church spent N40 million so far on the major construction work, adding that the remaining work would soon be completed.

He commended the Niger State Government for donating N20 million to the project and taking charge of the welfare of all bishops who attended the inauguration.
