Barely a month to the big kick-off of the 29th edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Multichoice Ghana Limited has launched its coverage of the tourney in Accra.
Multichoice, a pioneer of digital TV since 1995, rolled out its vision to the media for its coverage of the event scheduled from January 19 to February 10 in South Africa
A four-member panel comprising Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, GM, Multichoice Ghana, Charles Osei Asibey, Happy FM Sports morning show host, Charles Anazodo, Supersport presenter and Chidozie Bede-Nwokoye, marketing manager, Supersport West Africa, deliberated on the chances of each of the 16 countries grouped in A to D.
The Multichoice GM revealed that plans were in place to capture all matches live on Supersport, behind-the-scenes events of the participating teams as well as a six-camera crew from Supersport for each group to ensure up-to-date news for its cherished viewers.
He pointed out, ?All matches would be telecast live via Supersport, I strongly believe the Black Stars will take centre stage in the forthcoming competition and hopefully lift the ultimate.?
?We will capture news conference, updates, full information on each of the four groups to ensure a fulfilled viewing. Coverage of the event starts from January 19 to the closing ceremony on February 10,? said Mr Sunkwa-Mills.
He said his outfit would be rewarding two of its loyal customers in an all expense paid trip for the championship.
Former soccer greats like Netherland?s Ruud Gullit, Ghana?s Sammy Kuffuour, South Africa?s Carol Chabalala, among others would be in charge of pre, during and post-match discussions on Supersport during the soccer festival.
