Patrons of the ongoing MTN Soccer Academy ?Skuulz Challenge? 2 had the shock of the night when two teammates got evicted in last Sunday?s Eviction Show, further reducing the number of teammates in the competition to 10.
The first to swallow the bitter pill of eviction was Mujeeb Zakaria, teammate #5 from the Northern School of Business. When the announcement was made, the 22-year old, with his head bowed, picked up his school flag, managed to respond to some cheers from the crowd and made his way into the tunnel.
Following in the exit train on the night was Desmond Nyarko, teammate #1 from the Cape Coast Polytechnic. The 5.8ft midfielder, who Coach Preko described as a fine player, will also be missed by many for his affable personality which endeared him to both his colleagues and patrons as well.
The teammates, without a doubt, impressed fans with great performances in the night?s 5-aside match which ended in a 1-1 draw between Team MTN and Team OMP.
Evans Oko Armah, teammate # 2, from the St Thomas Aquinas Senior High School was perhaps the happiest player of the night as he was adjudged the new captain of the House.
The night?s entertainment slide featured performances from two dancehall artistes, Iwan and AK Songstress, whose remarkable acts no doubt lightened up the show and gave patrons what they had always wanted ? fun and excitement.
The next eviction will come off this Sunday at the MTN Soccer Academy House and will be telecast live on Metro TV.
The MTN Soccer Academy is an annual soccer reality show aimed at discovering young soccer talents and building them into competitive brands both locally and internationally.
