…As A Good Corporate Citizen And Excellence In Branding
?MTN, the leading telecommunications service provider in Ghana, has been awarded for being a good corporate citizen and for its immense contributions to national development. MTN has also being awarded as one of the greatest brands in the country.
The first award was presented by the Ghana CSR and Dairy Awards and was organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI), Association of Ghana Industry (AGI) and the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).

In a citation presented to the MTN Ghana Foundation,the CSR awards stated that the Foundation was being recognized ?for being a good corporate citizen and for implementing diverse socially responsible projects in the year 2013?
Receiving the award on behalf of MTN, the Executive Secretary of the MTN Ghana Foundation, Robert Kuzoe, expressed his appreciation to the organisers and said the MTN Ghana Foundation will continue to invest in sustainable and life changing projects to brighten the lives of people living in communities where MTN operates.
In a similar development, MTN has been adjudged one of the top ten greatest brands at the second edition of the Brand Excellence Awards ceremony held in Accra.
The event, organised by the Centre for Brand Analysis, a Ghanaian-owned firm involved in general brand-building services, sought to appreciate the efforts of individuals and companies that have been identified for their achievements in building Ghana?s brand asset. The theme for the Brand Excellence Awards 2014 was, ?Building a Strong Brand for Business Growth?.
Richard Acheampong, General Manager, Marketing Communications, MTN Ghana, received the award on behalf of MTN and dedicated it to the over 13 million subscribers of MTN Ghana.
Earlier on in the year, MTN Ghana was awarded by the Ghana Revenue Authority as the Overall Best Corporate Taxpayer (Domestic Division) in the country. The company was also honoured by the National Blood Bank as the Best Corporate Donor for its Blood donation exercises.
