The programme saw employees from Ghana and 21 other operating countries give back to their communities on the theme: “Investing in Education for All.”

Mr Ebenezer Twum Asante, the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, presenting the items said the computers and accessories were to equip their ICT department to continue to train more inmates.
He said often times the Prisons is one area that does not register the level of importance in the society.
He said even though the inmates are in prison they have added significant value to their lives through NVTI.
He said management decided to visit the prisons to interact with inmates and prisons officers and encourage them that all was not lost.
He said staff also took the opportunity to fumigate the prisons and to see the conditions in the various cells.
Deputy Commissioner Of Prisons Isaac Kofi Egyir, Officer In-Charge of Nsawam Medium Security Prison and Eastern Regional Commander, expressed gratitude to the management and staff of MTN for the kind gesture.
He said the donation would go a long way to augment the efforts in transforming the inmates in Prisons.
He noted that one major challenge is inadequate supply of writing materials, which MTN has agreed to offer more support in that regard.
He said the inmates are well versed in ICT with specialized training and skills in web designing, networking and others.
He appealed to corporate organisations to support the Prisons with logistics to sharpen their ICT skills and improve upon their knowledge.
