President Mahama has subsequently directed the Ashanti Regional Minister to assume direct responsibility of the District until a substantive DCE was appointed.

Mr Barima who suddenly became ?popular? for allegedly responding angrily to a health worker who shouted (tweaa) while he was addressing a health workers? durbar was initially pardoned after he had apologized and demonstrated remorse.

Such statements among other unprintable statements incurred the displeasure of government subsequently leading to his dismissal.
