Dennis Appiah could be pushed out of AS Monaco by the arrival of big named stars

French giants AS Monaco could send French-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah on loan with big stars set to arrive at the club following their promotion.

Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev has financially armed Claudio Ranieri to enter the transfer market and bring world class players.

Appiah, a 19-year-old, has grown through the ranks at the club and gained promotion to the first team in the 2010/11 season.

Before the arrival of Ranieri, 2011/12, Appiah racked a total of 19 appearances for the first team but this term, his total number of games dwindled to a mere 6 ? one start and five substitute appearances.

As they prepare to re-enter the French top-flight, they have targeted top stars and that could mean either Appiah being farmed out on loan or dropping to the second team.

Midfielder Derrick Appiah who joined from Napoli is also likely to enjoy a similar fate at the Stade Louis II.
