The NDC parliamentary candidate for Tema West constituency, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has stated that the NDC is committed to ensuring that it provides quality education for Ghanaians.
He said this can be attested to the fact that the government in the past three years has been able to remove schools under trees amongst others.
Mr. Ampofo said this when he donated a number of dustbins, footballs, jerseys and an improved hand washing device for basic schools in his constituency.
The minister who has seen to the provision of streetlights in his constituency to improve security noted that he has been attacked by his opponents and called all sorts of names for initiating some developmental projects in the constituency.
He noted that Tema West, which is perceived to be a stronghold of the NPP, has deteriorated over the years with very poor road networks under the watch of the NPP.
He therefore called on the electorate in the constituency to vote out the non-performing NPP MP for the area and vote for a development-oriented person like him to better their lot.
Presenting the items to the schools, he said the dustbins were to help solve some of the sanitation problems confronting the schools
Some of the schools that received the items were the Holy Child Basic School, Sakumono Complex 1 and 2, Sakumono TMA Primary 1 and 2, Sakumono SDA Primary and Sakumono JHS 1and 2.
