Melcom Care Supports Two Institutions

The Melcom Care Foundation, the charity arm of Melcom Group, has extended its benevolence to two institutions in the country.

The institutions are; Have Technical Institute in the Volta Region and Holy Child School in the Central Region.

Presenting the items to the two Institutions, the Director of Communications at Melcom Care Mr. Godwin Avenorgbo, noted that Have Technical Institute of Ghana Education Service in the Volta Region has been accredited to run an additional programme such as Catering.

This he said, there is an urgent need of facilities to commence the programme.

“Melcom Care is donating two Gas Burners, one with Oven and the other without Oven and two Gas Cylinders to enable the school authorities start the catering programme without any further delay.

More so, Holy Child School in the Central Region is organising staff awards and Melcom is donating four awards for deserving teachers: One Akai Rechargeable Fan and one Optima Two Face Fan and Two Akai Steam Irons”, he stated.

According to him, as part of Melcom Care Corporate Social Responsibility they will continue to support efforts in improving access to and standards in education.

Adding that, they will also increase their support for health delivery by both public and private health institutions nation wide.

Melcom Care will also pay attention to environmental issues by embracing steps to address concerns in that area.

Mr. Avenorgbo, added that Melcom will sponsor Clean Up Campaigns in order to help keep the environment healthy and safe.

According to him, Melcom will start operating as the Largest Warehouse in West Africa . “I can confirm that objectives have been attained and our Free Zone Warehouse is fully operational”, he announced.

Receiving the items on behalf of Have Technical Institute the Principal, Mr Leonard K. Ashun, commended Melcom Care for their kind gesture. This he said, the items donated will go a long way to help the Institution to enhance teaching and learning in the country.

According to him, the authorities will use the items judiciously in order to achieve a positive result. He challenged other corporate bodies to emulate Melcom Care in order to promote national development in the country.
