Panthers FC winger Bernard Dong-Bortey admits his side faces a daunting task to beat Medeama but confident they can qualify to the next stage of the CAF Confederations Cup at the expense of their Ghanaian side.

The two sides will go at each other in Sunday?s return leg fixture at the Essipong stadium with the home side in pole position to qualify to the next stage of the competition.

Medeama beat their opponent 2-1 away from home to put them within distance of qualifying to the next level.

However, Bortey, who missed the first leg tie due to an injury, is promising a massive upset against the Mauve and Yellows.

?We know it?s going to be tough because they hold the advantage after beating us in our own backyard,? Bortey told GHANAsoccernet.com

?But it?s never over until is over. We have come here with a renewed confidence. We have no doubt that Medeama won?t be easy but can beat them.

?If they managed to beat us in Equitorial Guinea, why can?t we beat them in Ghana? It is football and so you can never predict.

?Let?s wait for the 90 minutes and then we can talk about what happened. But I am very positive about our chances.?

Medeama will be hoping to consolidate Ghana?s gain in the continental championship after Ebusua Dwarfs qualified to the next stage at the expense of Senegalese side Jaraaf.
