MountCrdst University College (MCU) would soon be rolling out Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes in Public Management, Local Governance, Political Communication and Law.

Professor Atsu Ayee, Rector of MCU announced this at the fourth matriculation ceremony held by the College in Accra.

He disclosed that, the MCU had sought affiliation to the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), which had been approved in principle by the Academic Board.

According to the Rector, the MCU might be affiliated to the University of Ghana as soon as it lifted its cap on affiliation to enable the MCU commence the PhD in Political Communication.

Professor Ayee also disclosed that, a programme on Forensic Sciences would be developed soon by the MCU to take care of the security services in their quest for knowledge and competences in that discipline.

?The MCU is proud that the National Accreditation Board (NAB) has granted re-accreditation for MCU for three years from 2014 to 2016 and it has been selected to host the second international conference on Comparative Commonwealth and British Empire Legal Histories next year on the theme, ?Traditions, Borrowings, Innovations and Impositions: Law in the Post-Colony and in Empire? which will attract between 100-150 participants from across the world,? he said.

The Rector used the occasion to announce his resignation as Rector of the MCU after serving for 14 months. GNA
