The current twice weekly Qatar Airways flights between Maputo and Doha stop at Johannesburg in both directions.

The Maputo daily Noticias reported that cutting out the stop in Johannesburg will reduce travel time by two hours.
Qatar Airways also distinguished the company Cotur Tours as its main agent in Mozambique.
The report believed that the decision reflects confidence that there is enough traffic between the two cities to make the route profitable, without stopping in Johannesburg to pick up more passengers.
The Maputo-Doha route will use the most modern of large aircraft, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Enditem
