Majeed Waris returned for Trabzonspor over the weekend

Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris is determined to ?prove? himself once more again following his return from a tortuous injury layoff.

The 23-year-old returned to first team action for Trabzonspor over the weekend when he came on as a late replacement for Salih Dursun in their Turkish league defeat to Konyanspor.

Waris has struggled for consistency due to injury since joining the Turkish club from Spartak Moscow last summer.

The persistent injuries saw the workaholic striker miss Ghana?s campaign at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

And though his return excites many especially fans of the Black Stars ahead of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers, the former Swedish League goal king is desperate to work even harder to earn plaudits.

?Yes, I have been out for a long time,? he said after his return for Trabzonspor.

?It was a tough match for my team, I realize that.

?Konyaspor played most of the game but I want to prove myself.?
