The past few days have been pretty good for the Uruguayan and Liverpool striker Luis Su?rez?(apart from the cheeky, but hilarious,?fake handshake trick?from a young Spurs mascot).
After Liverpool beat Spurs 5-0 at the weekend, Su?rez?then went on to win the coveted?FSF Player of the Year Award?on Monday night and now it looks like he could be in for the biggest contract deal that Liverpool has ever paid out.
Su?rez?currently earns around ?130,000 (?153,000) a week, but if the new deal does go ahead he could be on something in the region of ?200,000 (?236,000).
According to reports this morning, Liverpool?s managing director, Ian Ayre, is on his way to Barcelona to meet with Su?rez?s agent Pere Guardiola, brother of Bayern Munich manager Pep, so we?ll have to wait to see what happens next.
