The Liberian leader made the assertion when she met with Mehmet Nazif Gunal, the Chairman of MNG Group of Companies and other delegation from Turkey in Monrovia, the country’s capital city on Wednesday.

The Liberian government is committed to seeking more partnerships to improve the lives of the people, she said.

President Sirleaf assured the delegation that Liberia is indeed prepared for business while expressing optimism about the prospects of investing in the country.

She pledged the government’s commitment to ensure investors are protected under the laws of Liberia and her government’s readiness to work with the company in bringing economic relief to the country.

“It is the responsibility of government to create the opportunity and reshape the country’s focus towards viable development,”Sirleaf said.

The Liberian leader emphasized the need for time-frame, and added that she will ensure the relevant ministries provide technical details on what Liberia expects out of the investment.

She commended the delegation for considering Liberia as investment destination and called on other potential international investors to invest in the country for economic growth.

Earlier, Gunal said he will invest in Liberia’s energy, hotel, agriculture and education sectors to provide more jobs for Liberians.

He expressed interest in making good these opportunities and in building partnerships with local businesses and the government aimed at investing in the economy.

Gunal, a Turkish billionaire, owns 10 of the top hotels in Turkey as well as one that is a replica of the Kremlin.
