I’m a young Ghanaian business man who felt a pinch of your failed administration characterized with massive unforgiving corruption against our national resources.
You failed because you misused the resources entrusted to you, you failed because you presided over corrupt regime, you failed because your leadership style was unimpressive to the majority of observers except your greedy appointees, even thou you claim to have done your best, it was woefully inadequate because they were for your parochial interest of retaining power.
The people who applauded you did so because you made their life’s so beautiful and richer at the expense of the larger Ghanaians. 4 years of another regime of yours would have been more tormenting, suicidal and detrimental to the whole nation which cry to God for change. Am sure you admit with me Ghanaian electorates have matured and don’t have the short memory as you told us, posterity won’t forgive you for making few people get even richer while the majority live life of uncertainty and frustrations.
You unleashed unto us inexperienced appointees whose quest was to be richer within a shortest period of time, it’s very clear as rumors have it that they’ve gathered or amass unimaginable wealth which could last them for years after they leave government. You administration embarked on projects which were semi needs of the people whiles you ignored the economics challenges of the citizens and you tickled yourself to laugh of so called massive project your government was undertaking.
You couldn’t pay teachers well and even withdrew trainees allowances yet building even more schools was your priority, graduated nurses were not posted and yet your interest was to building mega hospitals and glorifying yourself.
Many were the lies your administration told us about our unprecedented economic status as a nation yet IMF were deciding our future, anyone who doesn’t side with you would be at the mercy of your appointees who are referred to as “babies with sharp teeth” pastors were not spared of their treacherous and vilification powers, people who have no business in our governance system had a lot to rejoice in looting the states funds hence their inflicting supports of your failing leadership,
Meanwhile, tell your appointees to get ready to account for everything entrusted with them since I’m sure the new government will pursue them for same. You once advised “the prisons should be made habitable as anyone could be candidate” I found it a very good advice because of what maybe uncovered in the coming months and years.
You rented greedy press people to vilify your opponents and tag him with names which intends to destroy his chances whiles they describe you as a man even better than our first president (Dr Nkrumah) every legitimate claims made about our economy was rubbished by your appointees which later turns to be true. How are you gonna explain to Ghanaians when the new government assumes office and discover the real figures behind your numbers to prove same?
Propaganda can only “win” you an election, but it takes viciousness, experience, truth, real leadership ability and generational thinking to bring total emancipation to the citizens. . I’m only a mere citizen who feels to put these on records because I don’t want my children to accuse me of doing or saying nothing during your period of unprecedented corruption. Thank you for being a part of our history as a nation and let the generation coming be the profound judge.
