Pastor Jones Asare Mankralo, Nii Boiman District Pastor of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, has called on Ghanaians to show love and compassion towards each other to ensure national unity.
He said Jesus Christ stood for unity, peace, therefore, Christians should follow His teachings to promote peace.
Pastor Mankralo was speaking at the end of a one-week convention, which formed part of activities marking the 80th Anniversary of the Church, in Accra.
He said the resurrection of Christ meant peace, love, mercy, favour justice and new life, adding that if Christ was not resurrected, there would have been rebellion, violence, hatred and murder.
The District Pastor, therefore, urged Ghanaians to work together as a team to ensure productivity and do away with all forms of negative tendencies that may set back the clock of national development.
He appealed to Christians to explain soundly the relevance of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, instead of creating the impression that his death was meaningless.
Pastor Mankralo also advised parents to instill in their children a sense of discipline worthy of emulation so that they grow to become useful citizens.
He called on religious leaders to use the pulpit to educate their members on the government?s policies and programmes.
