Adamu Deguri, the member representing Ningere Local Government Area in the Yobe State House of Assembly, has been assassinated.
The lawmaker was shot dead by gunmen who attacked him at his residence in Unguwar Tandari, Potiskum, around 9am this morning.
The state police authorities are yet to react to the murder.
