The home video is titled: “Aye Olokada“

In its bid to enforce the new traffic law, the Lagos State Government on Saturday said arrangements had been concluded to launch a home video entitled: “Aye Olokada“ on Monday.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Kayode Opeifa, disclosed this in a statement.

He added that the video would enlighten the citizens on the menace caused by motorcycle operators popular called “okada.??

The state government enacted the new traffic law on Aug. 2.

Opeifa said that the video would also highlight the effect of such menace on the riders, passengers and the society at large.
“The home video which is to be distributed to citizens free of charge also contains the 475 restricted routes for motorcycle and tricycle operators in the state, “ Opeifa said.

The commissioner said the launch was also to mark the safety campaign week of the Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) of the ministry.

Opeifa said that the video was produced by U BEE Media, headed by a popular Nollywood actor, Mr Adebayo Salami, in conjunction with the state government.

He said that stakeholders in the transport industry including civil societies, various transport unions in the state and prominent actors and actresses were expected to attend the ceremony.
