People of Kumasi have raised concerns on the number ambulance in the city and how efficient the system operates when there is an emergency.
A major concern was raised after an accident at Asuoyeboah-Kumasi which involved an ambulance and a passenger urvan bus.It took over 2 hours to get another ambulance from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to transport the patient who was on oxygen in the ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
Reporters in the city have criticized various hospitals in the city for delays during emergency.
However,according to the administrator of the Nkawie Government Hospital, Alex Abugri,the number of ambulances make dealing with emergency situations very difficult.
He has therefore made an appeal to government to make more ambulances available in the country to help save lives.
